Be Part of a New Book

Do you have a story about how a quilt or the making of a quilt has been special to someone?  Perhaps you made a special quilt for someone going through a difficult time or you or someone you know received a quilt as a special gift because of a sickness or a sorrow.  Or possibly it was to celebrate a special happy event such as a wedding, anniversary, birth, etc.  Or maybe the quilt was the motivation someone needed to find inner strength they didn’t know they had.   If you do and have often wanted to tell others about your special story, Edward West is working on a new book that will tell the stories of special quilts.  This book will be a compilation of stories contributed by quilters like you whose quilt had a special effect on someone’s life.

If you would like to participate in this book, please send your stories to Pasco Publishing Co., PO Box 2515, Zephyrhills, FL  33539.  Stories can be submitted in handwritten form or typed form.  If handwritten it must be legible.  The stories must be true and factual and can be whatever length you would like.  You will of course need to write enough to fully explain who the people are and when the events took place, why the quilt was made or given and what effect it had on the person.  It would also be nice if you explained what the quilt looked like, pattern, etc., and why you chose a particular pattern for the quilt if you made it.  All stories will be edited relative to grammar, punctuation and format and perhaps embellished a little more if needed but you will have the final proof reading of your story before it is published.  

Edward may not be able to use all story submissions, at least for the first edition.  However future additional versions of the book may be published and he may use your story in a future version.  Stories will be selected on reader appeal and format.  You will be notified if your story is selected to be included in the book.  No stories will be returned and will become the property of Pasco Publishing Co.

So if you have always wanted to be a part of a book or have a story you would like to tell, this is your opportunity.  All contributors whose story is used will receive a free copy of the book after it is printed and will be recognized in the book as the author of their story.
